I'm Benjamin Ribeyre, a mountain guide based in La Grave in the Hautes-Alpes. I'm 31 years old and I climbed my first 3000m summit 24 years ago. I am passionate about all mountain activities, I devote all my time to them, and not only in France.

What does Vuarnet represent for you?

I would say that Vuarnet is a form of French excellence in quality, style and philosophy. Who can tell the story of an Olympic victory and the latest James Bond movie at the same time? Vuarnet!

What is your best memory in the mountains?

There are too many! But not so long ago, I had the chance to complete an exceptional project: climbing more than 2.5 km of ice in less than 24 hours. More than just a feat, it was an opportunity to climb with my oldest climbing partner. It was also a way to show that you can climb something of international importance right next door.
